On 3rd August 2023, Zeeve held a Twitter AMA session where Jatin Pandya,

Developer Relations Manager of Zeeve and Yuvank Soni, Developer Advocate at Zeeve, hosts the session on “FUD or FOMO? Career Prospects in the Web3 Universe!”

Jatin And Yuvank welcome guest speakers Srinivas Buddharaju, Navy Veteran and Web3 Community Builder, and Lakshay Gaur, Blockchain Architect at Zeeve.

Jatin and Yuvank start the session with a warm welcome to Srinivas and ask him to introduce himself and share insights about his journey

Srinivas, a former Indian Navy officer with 23 years of service, retired in 2016 and entered the blockchain world. He works as a blockchain architect and investor. His journey into cryptocurrencies began with a 50 rupee gift of Bitcoin in 2016.

Inspired by the allure of cryptocurrencies during India’s demonetization, he delved into blockchain beyond trading—his narrative blends naval experiences with the vibrancy of Web 3.0. The journey includes phases like the ICO frenzy 2017 and hurdles posed by RBI regulations 2018.

Jatin hands the floor to Lakshay, who expresses gratitude for his journey starting in 2017, transitioning from performance engineering to blockchain. He outlines his initial work on wallets and layer 1 crypto chains, noting the challenge of blockchain’s time-to-market constraints. Lakshay’s journey showcases blockchain’s transformative power. The narratives of both Srinivas and Lakshay offer insights. Srinivas is prompted to elaborate on his transition from the Indian Navy to Web 3.0, aligning with his passion for development and community-building.

Srinivas shares his background as an NFT collector. The discussion is exciting as Srinivas delves into transitioning from the Indian Navy to the Web3 industry. He shares his enthusiasm for the space and his interests as a collector, highlighting his previous collection of old coins. Srinivas became intrigued by blockchain with the introduction of EC 721 and proudly identified himself as an early adopter.

Srinivas refers to an audience member named “American Ape,” associated with a Hollywood-based content creation and animation company. He discusses being a part of a community and elaborates on two specific groups he is involved in.

One is a community moderator for a blockchain-related community where he met a friend on Twitter in July 2021. The other is a group called “XO House” in India, which offers co-working and co-living spaces for developers and content creators. They reflect on their involvement in various projects, including advising on community building and serving as a Web3 consultant.

The focus shifts to Lakshya, who advises newcomers to the Web 3.0 industry. He emphasizes the importance of having a basic understanding of web development, application functioning, and the transition from Web 2.0 to Web 3.0 models. He mentions attending hackathons, participating in open-source projects, and gaining familiarity with blockchain-related terminologies.

Lakshya acknowledges the need for front-end developers to upskill themselves to grasp the security and server-database interactions in Web 3.0. Lakshya also stresses the significance of cryptographic knowledge, covering topics such as hashing, public and private key pairs, and symmetric and asymmetric encryption.

Lakshya then focuses on the buzzworthy Launchpad program, seeking Srinivas’ insight. The program aims to foster innovation and collaboration in Web 3.0. It is a platform for aspiring developers, creators, and entrepreneurs to turn ideas into reality with mentorship, resources, and a strong community. Srinivas emphasizes the program’s focus on real-world solutions, envisioning impacts on governance, supply chains, healthcare, and more. The passion for addressing challenges through the Launchpad program is evident.

Jatin wraps up the session by adding that this Launchpad Program embodies Web 3.0’s decentralized innovation ethos, empowering individuals to drive positive change. The program aligns with intending to make people passionate about Web 3.0. It offers diverse learning opportunities, including technical, networking, and business aspects, preparing participants for roles like developer relations while highlighting the importance of blockchain understanding.

The conversation concludes with the participants expressing excitement about the program and the opportunity it provides to deepen their understanding and passion for Web 3.0.
