The blockchain space loves talking about multi-chain solutions, but the Aggregation Summit in November finally moved these discussions from whiteboards to real implementations. Over 300 builders gathered in Barcelona on November 10-11 to tackle what’s quickly becoming our industry’s biggest challenge – making thousands of chains work together effectively.
We were in great company at the summit. The lineup included tech heavyweights like Sandeep and Mihailo Bjelic from Polygon Labs sharing their vision for chain aggregation, Steven Goldfeder and Ed Felten from Offchain Labs discussing scaling solutions, and teams from Avail and Eigen Labs bringing fresh perspectives to cross-chain communication.
During the technical sessions, our CTO, Ghan Vashistha, took the stage to present “Seamless Chains: How AggLayer & Zeeve Connect Rollups and AppChains.”
Here are some points from his session:
- The reality check: We’re building a multi-chain world but are stuck with disconnected solutions – Polkadot is doing its thing with XCMP, Cosmos with IBC, and Optimism with Superchain. None of them talk to each other. AggLaye wants to Aggregate the aggregators.
- The hard truth about bridges: Current solutions force users through multiple L1 hops and repetitive transactions. AggLayer wants to change this with unified bridging. Moving assets across different ecosystems, swapping tokens, and minting NFTs, all in one click.
- While other solutions trust connected chains blindly, AggLayer uses pessimistic proofs to treat every chain as potentially malicious. No chain can ever transmit more than it has deposited.
- For builders: Deploy AggLayer-ready chain, including Polygon CDK chains through Zeeve RaaS, and tap into this cross-chain ecosystem in minutes, not months.

The summit wasn’t just about presentations, though. In conversations with teams from Hyperbridge, zkSync, Espresso, and Okto, we discussed how different projects are tackling similar challenges and how projects are already looking to implement cross-chain modules in their applications. We had great conversations with teams looking to integrate AggLayer into their existing products and spent time walking through how Zeeve’s platform could simplify their testing and deployment process.
Looking back, the summit proved what we’ve been saying – the future isn’t about isolated chains; it’s about making them work together seamlessly.
